Agapanthus 'Bridal Bouquet'
Agapanthus 'Bridal Bouquet' is a pure white flowered African lily, chosen for its generous flowering and compact habit, which suits both borders and container growing.
Characteristics
It forms dense clumps of glossy green, strap-shaped leaves some 40-50 cm high. From June to August it produces upright stems carrying spherical umbels of white flowers, 12-15 cm across, very bright and also valued as cut flowers. Overall height in flower reaches 60-70 cm.
Growing and care
It prefers full light and a fertile, well drained soil, and dislikes waterlogging, especially in winter. Water regularly during growth and flowering, more sparingly when dormant. Where winters are cold, mulch the crown or move the pot under cover. Removing spent stems extends the flowering season.
Uses
Ideal in mixed borders, single colour drifts, entrance beds and large containers on terraces and poolsides, where the white flowers contrast with the bright green foliage.
