Abelia x grandiflora 'Confetti'® is an ornamental selection grown for its variegated foliage and long flowering season.

Characteristics
A compact semi-evergreen shrub about 60-80 cm tall and as wide, rounded and densely branched with slender, arching branches. The small, oval, glossy leaves have a light green centre edged with creamy white, a bright and decorative effect, and take on pink or red tones in autumn. Small, fragrant, tubular white to pinkish white flowers open from late spring to autumn, often until the first frosts.

Growing and care
Sun or partial shade and well drained soil, including clay, sandy or calcareous ground. Drought tolerant once established and tolerant of urban pollution; hardy in USDA zones 6-9. Prune lightly after flowering; mulch the base and feed lightly in spring.

Uses
Mixed borders, low hedges, specimen planting, containers and small gardens.
