Cotoneaster radicans 'Eichholz' is an evergreen with a creeping, carpeting habit. Its main feature is the flexible, arching stems, perfectly suited to clothing horizontal surfaces such as walls, beds and slopes.

Characteristics
Small glossy dark green leaves that take on bronze tints in cold weather, white flowers in spring and long lasting red berries in autumn, valuable to birds.

Growing and care
It prefers sunny or semi shaded positions but adapts to different light levels, and needs only well drained soil. Pruning can be done in early spring to encourage compact, dense new growth. It is fairly resistant to diseases and insect attack, though it is worth watching for fireblight in humid seasons.

Uses
Ground cover on banks and slopes, trailing over walls and raised beds, in front of shrub borders and in containers.
