Abelia 'Edward Goucher' is an evergreen shrub of Asian origin, distinguished by glossy dark green leaves and bell shaped flowers in an intense pink.

Characteristics
A compact, rounded shrub reaching 1.2-1.5 m in height, with evergreen foliage that stays attractive all year. Flowering begins in spring and continues through the warm season, bringing a lively note of colour to the garden.

Growing and care
It prefers sun or partial shade but also adapts to shadier positions, and is resistant to both cold and wind. Soil requirements are moderate: a well drained, humus rich soil, prepared and weeded before planting.
